Its first issues were distributed among the regular readers. Larry Flynt and his magazine Hustlerįlynt got his audience in a while it inspired him to publish an erotic magazine Hustler in 1974. To advertise his clubs, Larry printed erotic brochures and informed readers about upcoming events he had them sent to people by post free of charge. In 1964, Flynt opened the first striptease club in Detroit it was a profitable business that allowed him to open eight more houses in Columbus, Toledo, Akron, and Cleveland within six years. However, when Larry received an engineering education, he decided not to continue his military career and came back home. At the age of 15, the young man began to serve in the army and then switched to the Navy. The boy’s parents belonged to the Baptists, and Flynt attended a parochial school. Larry was born on November 1, 1942, in Lakeville, Kentucky. Larry Flynt is an American entrepreneur, the publisher of Hustler magazine, the owner of Larry Flynt Publications (LFP), and a supporter of the Democratic Party.
